5 Months

Gavin turned 5 months old on the 17th...yeah I know, I am a little late in posting this, but oh well! I say this every month but I can't believe how fast time goes! He is turning into a little man, with his own personality (that is a lot different than Talan was) He is a lot more clingy than I remember Talan being. Mark says that is because I am busier now with the two boys so I just pay more attention to it. I am not sure, but he is such a happy boy if he is around his mama or dada or brother! Leave him alone for a second and he starts to freak out! He still isn't sleeping through the night...he wakes up between 2-3 times a night and still is sleeping in the pack and play in our room. I finally got our other video monitor to work so we are going to attempt having him sleep in his own room in the next week or so. It is just so hard because our master is downstairs and both boys rooms are upstairs so when they wake up I have to drag myself all the way up the stairs to check on them! Oh well, enough complaining. Here are some recent pictures...

Fire!

Yesterday was kind of scary. We had a fire break out at Hidden Valley Golf Course in Norco (which is about 1/4 mile from our house) It broke out around 12. Mark called me to tell me to go outside and look. This is what I saw from our front yard.
A few hours later the smoke had moved to the east and I could see some flames up on the hill...but there were tons of helicopters dropping water on the fire and the smoke wasn't as black as it had been earlier. It stunk so bad in our house and gave me the worst headache...Thank god for all the hard working firefighters that got the fire out so quickly!

Busy Busy Busy

Well I haven't blogged in quite a few days. I was doing pretty good there for a while! I think I have a pretty good excuse though for not blogging. The past 2 weeks have been extremely busy for us. Starting with our anniversary (which I already blogged about) Two days after our anniversary was my sisters SURPRISE 25th birthday/graduation/moving to New York party that I basically planned myself (my mom and step mom helped too)~talk about stress though! It turned out amazing and my sister was so surprised! Thank you to everyone who made her special day wonderful! Of course I forgot my camera but I know my mom has some pictures on her camera. I stole these 2 pictures from one of Carly's friends...
Here is the slideshow that I made for her and showed at her party...

Then Friday was my sisters graduation from LA Film School. We drove out to LA to watched her graduate! I am so proud of her. She is going to do amazing things. Here are some pictures from her graduation...
Then last Saturday was my 29th birthday! Wow I can't believe I am in the last year of my 20's. I feel like I just turned 20! Where has the time gone??? We got a limo and went to dinner at Javier's in Newport. It was so much fun. Here are some pictures from the night.
So if that wasn't enough action packed into a few days, Sunday was Mark's birthday! We were kind of burned out from all the action that we didn't do much. He relaxed and watched football. We are planning to do dinner sometime this week to celebrate his birthday! Now I can hopefully catch up on all my blogging since everything has died down a bit!

P.S. I am also very sad that my sister moved yesterday to New York...I am excited for her but also sooo sooo sad. I love you Carly more than you will ever know and I am so proud of you!

Mommy's Monkey

So, I am playing outside with Talan...and Gavin wakes up from his nap so I run inside for literally 30 seconds to check on him. I am walking back outside and hear a "MOMMY!!!" so then I start running back outside. I had to go back in and get my camera because it was definitely a sight to see and I wanted Mark to see what his son had done!

Talan had pushed one of our patio chairs to the bbq island and got up on top of it where he proceeded to get ahold of the tomato seedling (that my mom grew from a seed and JUST gave me yesterday) and rip it apart! I walked out and he was holding the little seedling in his hands and he was so proud of himself!! He said "Momma...Mato!" and I said, "yeah it WAS a tomato!" Wow if this is what I have to look forward to I am in for it!! He is such a monkey! I am so glad that he hasn't figured out how to get out of his crib yet though! *KNOCK ON WOOD*

Up on top of the Island
"Cheese" (No he didn't wet his pants, that is water from the plant :))
He lost a shoe on the climb up
Look how proud he is!!!
"I fix it mommy"
"Mommy, Mato!"
So destructive!
Poor wee tomato seedling!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is me and Mark's 4 Year anniversary! I cannot believe it has been 4 years already. Where has the time gone? For those of you that don't know, we never had an actual wedding...we just had a ceremony with the two of us in Vegas. (So don't be mad that you weren't invited to our wedding!) Our parents didn't even know about it until after the fact, that is how secretive it was. And no...it wasn't a shotgun wedding! A lot of people may have been dissappointed that we didn't have a big wedding...but that's just how we roll! I tried to find some pictures of our wedding night. I know I have some somewhere...but I will post a picture from tonight instead!

My husband brought me home some beautiful roses, we both went and got pedicures (which neither of us have had in over 5 months, before Gavin was born) and went to the BEST dinner at Flemings!
Me and Mark in the backyard
Talan smelling mommy's flowers
Had to throw in a little Gavin action!

Happy 25th!

Happy 25th Birthday to my beautiful and talented sister, Carly. I happen to think she is the best sister ever...but I only have one sister so I don't have anything else to compare her too!! Anyways, she turned the big 2-5 today! I am so proud of her, not only will she be graduating from L.A. Film School next week, she just got an apprenticeship with Milk Studios in New York City!! She is leaving us but she is truly chasing her dreams. She is an amazing photographer and I know that she will go far and I am envious of her free spirit. I love you Carly! Now I am off to pick her up from the airport...she is getting back from photographing a wedding in Delaware! If anyone wants to check out more of her work, her website is www.carlykennelly.com.
