I have been in a total funk these past couple days and I have not wanted to blog at all. I think it is the whole getting back into the swing of things that is taking a toll on me. My husband had so much time off during the holidays and it was so nice having him home to help me! I guess I took it for granted. Anyways, we have been trying to get back into a normal routine but the last few nights Talan has woken up in the middle of the night from coughing (he is only coughing at night and the doctor told me that it was allergies) and he screams "Mama" or "Dada" until one of us comes and either gives him his pacifier or brings him downstairs in our bed. Sometimes he wakes up his brother, whose room is right next to his which causes a whole different problem!
Not only has Talan not been sleeping well at night, he has also decided that he doesn't want to nap anymore. He figured out that if he takes his pants and his diaper off mommy will come running in. He has peed the bed a couple of times because I didn't realize that he had taken his diaper off. I guess that means that it is time to start potty training? He has a potty and we have introduced him to the idea. He goes sometimes when we ask him but he never tells us when he needs to go. Does anyone have any helpful hints for potty training a 2 year old??
Anyways, I have just added a ton of pictures which may bore you...they aren't in any particular order but they are from the last week. I am going to try to get out of my rut and get back in the game!
Oh and one more thing...we FINALLY got an updated picture of all of us together, since Kiely and Tyler were out for Christmas/New Years. Wow...it only took us 9 months to do it! Hehe.

ReplyDeletepotty training... ughh! i was lucky with derek. at about 2 1/2 years he deceided all onhis own to do it. i kept a pull-up on him, but he went when he needed to. sorry, i'm not helpful!
I totally get the blog funk! It took me like 3 months to get out of it! I think that I didn't want to admit that life is just plain hard with two little ones!

Good luck with potty training. I was lucky too, Sammy was pretty much trained by two...but I hear boys are a whole different story :( I'm nervous for when T gets there!!!
